The Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) will hold the 87th Founding Anniversary, 52nd Nurses' Week Celebration and 2009 Annual National Convention on 19th to 22nd of October 2009 at Boracay EcoVillage and Convention Center Station 1, Yapak, Boracay Island Malay, Aklan with a theme Leading change: Building healthier nations.

The main objectives of the convention are as follows:

1. To underscore the role of nurses as change agents for better health;

2. To highlight current trends and challenges in nursing and health care, and the potential to overcome them;

3. To provide a platform for sharing best practices, promoting dialogue, and encouraging advocacy, capacity building, and communication;

4. To foster closer relationships and networking among the PNA chapters.
